Vertical Valor is not for everyone! It is for those who are serious about growing in both their Volleyball skills and their faith. Vertical Valor will challenge you both on and off the court!

Vertical Valor is a lower-cost club with local tournaments to help families not be consumed by the traditional club season. We are currently focused on developing Homeschoolers and Lakewood Park athletes. (Outsiders are welcomed but those are our target groups).

We will have 3 teams this year. The aim is for:

12U team

13U team

15U team

Evaluations are on October 17th & 19th and will be conducted at Empowered Sports Club.

• Ages 10-12 will be evaluated 4-5 pm

• Ages 13-14 will be evaluated 5:15-6:45 pm

• Age 15 will be evaluated 7-8:30 pm

  Please plan to attend BOTH dates for your tryouts!

  The cost is $60 per kid. Please send payment via Venmo.

Evaluations are mandatory for everyone trying out for a team but do not guarantee a spot on a team.

If your daughter is unable to make a tryout you can schedule a private evaluation with Coach Nate prior to the tryout days above.

Tryouts are in October.

Preseason is November and December. These are optional opportunities to help the girls to develop their skills in the off-season.

We will then do our camp as the season begins in January.

We are going to host a CAMP WEEK intensive to help all the players to grow and bond as a team!

The date is not yet set, as I want to see what works best for everyone!

2 Team practices per week for every team.

15U will have one additional open gym opportunity each week to compete with higher-level high school and adult guys and girls.

• 10-12 U teams will have around 6 tournaments.

• 13U will have approx. 8 tournaments

• 15U will have around 9 tournaments

• Our tournaments are mostly located in or near Fort Wayne (ie. Decatur, Muncie, Marion, Auburn and Angola)

  After our evaluations, we will select competitions that are best suited for each team’s skill level.

Coach Nate Bristol: 15U Coach

Coach Nate has been a youth pastor for 18+ years and has been coaching a variety of sports for just as long.

Nate helped lead Fort Wayne Falcons Jr. High Volleyball girls to win the state championship and led them to take 2nd place in the Midwest Regionals. Coach Nate also coached at Empowered Sports Club and helped them to develop a program for the mental development of athletes.

Coach Nate is passionate about developing great athletes physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Coach Korah: 13U Coach

Coach Korah has been a volleyball player her whole life. She was a missionary kid and a homeschooler who is incredible at connecting with your daughters. She knows how to create a fantastic culture as she disciples and challenges her athletes. Coach Korah is an amazing role model and will love your kids as she coaches them this season!

Head Coaches - We hire experienced head coaches to grow the student’s volleyball skills. These coaches also demonstrate an active and vibrant faith in Jesus.

Assistant Coaches - volunteers who want to grow in their knowledge of the game and who love to invest in developing young leaders.

Master Coaches - high-level University coaches will come to occasional practices to help our students develop their skills at a higher level.

We want to make this an affordable experience for everyone, so we only charge:

$980 for our 10U and 12U teams.

$ 1100 for our 13U team

$ 1200 for our 15U College prep team

(Other local clubs are in the $1,300-3,500 price range)

There will be monthly payment options, and we will offer great fundraising opportunities to help assist your club season!

Uniform included.

Additional Costs: JVA/AAU membership fees.
